DJ Taktix was born in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in Carson, CA. At an early age, he always knew he had a passion for music. In the 7th grade, DJ Taktix began playing the drums and percussion for his middle school band. But it wasn’t until 2002, when his two brothers bought him his first pair of turntables in high school.
Throughout high school, DJ Taktix began making a name for himself by playing at house parties and high school dances. In 2003, DJ Taktix received a call to spin at his first nightclub in downtown Los Angeles. DJ Taktix continued to spin and gain exposure from eighteen and over venues, but reaching the “Puro Pari” age of twenty-one, his journey only continues from there.
In August 2010, DJ Taktix joined the dj battle “Beezo Battle: Club Edition” in Los Angeles where he earned first place and a trip to the Beezo Battle finals.
In January 2012, DJ Taktix was featured on Power 106 in Los Angeles as he kicked off the new year with the first “Jump Off Mix” of 2012.
DJ Taktix has dj’d alongside and/or opened for Ne-Yo, LMFAO, Jeremih, Far East Movement, Omarion, The New Boyz, Bobby Brackins and Cold Flamez.
With his high energy, talent and eclectic mix of music, DJ Taktix has played and gained residencies at some of the hottest nightclubs throughout Southern California.
